Community Counseling Project
Equipping Our Community
Our program
Seasons Counseling of Michiana’s Community Counseling Project is an outreach program that offers free mental health counseling to Michiana youth and families.
To provide this care, Seasons Counseling of Michiana partners with area schools and youth-serving non-profits to offer individual counseling, curriculum-based group counseling, and education services for students, families, faculty, and staff. Counseling is offered both on-site at partner agencies, as well as at Seasons Counseling’s offices in South Bend.
Early intervention matters. By addressing barriers that often prevent families from seeking care – like cost, transportation, and scheduling challenges – we are helping more youth and families access the help they need, often before mental health needs turn into moments of crisis.
Through this outreach, we provide more than 1,000 free counseling sessions to community members annually, who likely would not be able to access help otherwise.
Support the Community Counseling Project
Beyond our standard practice of providing counseling care to those who seek services in our office and via telehealth, Seasons Counseling of Michiana is committed to increasing access to quality, affordable mental health care in our community.
In addition to personnel expenses, there are additional costs associated with counselor training and supervision, data collection and reporting, technology and HIPAA-compliant electronic health record system usage, learning supplies and curriculum purchases, insurance liability coverage, and administrative support.
If you feel moved to help, please consider a donation to help us continue offering this life changing care for youth and families in our community.
